Adepticon Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game Tourney Info

AdeptiCon is the nexus of many miniatures gamer’s worlds. Attendees often spend the entire convention going from one event to another in between checking out the Crystal Brush submissions in the A Song of Fire and Ice: Tabletop Miniatures Game category. This year, CMON is holding several tournaments for the A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game. Over the course of the weekend, we’ll have two types of tourneys. One’s designed for new army commanders, while the other is designed for veterans of many campaigns. Let’s take a look at them so you can know what to expect when you hit the table.

On Thursday, starting at 1pm, we’ll be holding our Beginner’s Tournament. If you’ve been wanting to get to know about the game, this is a perfect chance to do so. Players that don’t yet have a force of their own will be allowed to use one from our collection for the duration of the event (though bringing your own force guarantees you get to use the figures you want to use most). Everyone will have a chance to walk away with a cool promo figure for the game, while the top three players in the tourney will get a choice from the contents of the A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game Game Night Kit.

On Friday and Saturday, also starting at 1pm, things get kicked up a notch with the premier A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game Tournament Series. For these tourneys, players will bring their own 40pt. forces and battle it out across several different scenarios. Participants will compete through several rounds, looking to see who the top three contestants are. Everyone will receive a participation prize, with the top three getting a bonus prize, as well as an invitation to Sunday’s finals.

Sunday is the finale of the Tournament Series. The top three players from both Friday’s and Saturday’s events will match up in an event to see who will sit on the Iron Throne, winning some great prizes (to be revealed at the event) for their efforts as well. Players will once more be in command of 40pt. forces. Who will be left in the dust and who will ascend to become ruler of all of Westeros?
