The corpses are rising from the grave again, and this month a new crop of undead material will be arriving at your FLGS. CMON has awesome new Zombicide goodies, featuring new Special Guest Artist packs, Deadeye Walkers, Zombicide: Compendium #2, and more!
Adrian Smith has illustrated fantasy worlds and the remarkable creatures that inhabit them for decades. His work spans a number of different gaming titles and genres. His illustrations have a dark beauty to them that really connects his audience with his characters. Smith's Special Guest Artist pack for Zombicide: Black Plague adds four new Survivors armed to the teeth with unique weapons and garbed in the bones of their previous opponents.
Italian illustrator Paolo Parente creates characters that are brimming with life and usually armed and dangerous. For Parente's Special Guest Artist pack, he pulled from Anastyr, a world he created. Each character has an almost tribal feel to them. They are clad in armour and furs, and they brandish weapons that will send even the most stalwart Abominations heading for the hills.
Jovem Nerd is a Brazilian blog that reports and discusses the culture of all things nerd. The Chronicles of Ruff Ghana is a reoccurring segment on their Nerdcast. The story developed from broadcasting their RPG sessions and has also appeared as an illustrated book. The Jovem Nerd Special Guest Artist pack features four characters from the Ruff Ghanor storyline, including Ruff himself! This is a Limited Edition pack, so get it while you can!
The infected who roam the world of Zombicide: Black Plague don't retain a lot of skills or memories from their past. All of that has been replaced with the desire for human flesh and the urge to kill. That is until the Necromancers developed a new trick. Through experimentation with the infection, they have developed a way for the corpses of archers and bowmen to retain their accuracy and ability to kill from a distance. As their flesh falls from their bones, they still have the strength to pull back the string and let their arrows fly. The Deadeye Walkers pack includes 21 Walker miniatures and six spawn cards to add them into the fray. Survival will be a little bit harder now that the zombies are learning to arm themselves.
Opening a door and stepping through isn't that simple in the world of Zombicide: Black Plague. You're never quite sure what's waiting on the other side. It could be salvation...but more likely it's a pack of the infected, ready to feast on the flesh of the living. The 3D Doors pack replaces the included cardboard doors in the base game. These highly-detailed portals come in three different sculpts and completely enhance the visuals of every scenario you play. Each door fully opens to let you know where your band of Survivors have explored and what areas of the board remain a mystery. This pack contains 27 individual doors.
Speaking of upgrading some of the cardboard that comes with Black Plague, the Plastic Tokens pack replaces the tokens included in the base game. Everything from the Spawn Zones, to the Walls, to the Dragon's Bile get a 3D plastic upgrade. This pack takes an already visually beautiful game and adds to that world a new dimension of detail. There are over 50 different sculpts in the Plastic Tokens pack.
Zombicide Compendium #2 is over 100 pages long and contains 65 different missions from the first three seasons of Zombicide. It also gathers the rules for six different expansions including Lost Survivors and Zombie Dogs. For the hardcore Zombicide fan this is a must own book that will delve deeper into the story of the infection, the outbreak, and the battle for survival.
All this great horror content will be shuffling its way to your FLGS on September 23, 2016. Grab it before it grabs you!
