CMON Expo is a chance for fans of gaming to get together and share their love of the hobby. For three days each May, gamers descend on Atlanta to play the CMON games they’ve grown to love, interact with board game celebrities, try out the newest titles, and get a sneak peek of some of the games that will debut in the coming year.
For this year’s Expo, there are lots of exciting new events that will make any CMON fan happy!
Experienced painters and those new to the hobby will be able to take part in Miniature Painting workshops with industry leading talents like Jen Haley and Teri Litorco. These classes are perfect for learning new skills or refining your art. Attendees can learn techniques like object-source-lighting, non-metallic-metal blades, and practice speed-painting with A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game.
For players that want a higher level of competition, we will be holding a number of different tournaments. Prove your Clan has what it takes to rule Japan in Rising Sun, make an offer they can’t refuse in The Godfather: Corleone’s Empire, or compete for immortality in Dark Age. The battles will be fierce, but each tournament has great prizes for those that walk away victorious.
CMON Expo is all about playing games, and throughout this year’s event, players have a chance to game with some of the biggest names in the industry today. Create a new Dragon Castle with Mandi Hutchinson, vent your Blood Rage with Sam Healey, solve a mystery in 13 Clues with Dan King, or do battle in ancient Japan in Rising Sun with Eric M. Lang. These are just some of the opportunities for attendees to game with Special Guests throughout the weekend.
At CMON Expo 2018, we’ll also be holding panels to discuss the coming year for CMON, running special scenarios of different games, giving miniature painters the chance to get their work critiqued, and of course, there will be tons of open gaming.
Check out the full list of events here, and we look forward to seeing you in Atlanta!
